Regrettably, the Madison Transit System will cease operations effective May 31, 2013.

Madison Transit offers "Fixed Route", "Route Deviation", and "Dial-A-Ride Services"

Fixed Route Service:  Fixed Route service is a bus service that travels along a route with identified stops and associated times, according to a weekly schedule.

Route Deviation Service:  is an expanded service that will deviate from a fixed route not more than 3/4 mile to get those individuals who cannot get to a scheduled stop. Route Deviation is a reservation service that may or may not have a premium fare associated with it. Please consult our fares page for further information on costs associated with this service. Dial-A-Ride:  Madison County Transit offers Dial-A-Ride service to those qualified individuals who cannot get to a Fixed Route. Dial-A-Ride Service operates from 6am  to 1:00pm.  Reservations are required - For information please call (315) 824-1260 or 1-877-702-7095.

On Call:  Fixed route buses are On-Call during certain times of the day.  Call (315) 824-1260 or your driver directly if you need service during these times.

Bike Racks:  As of August 2012, all three fixed route buses are equipped with bike racks and are free to use.
